What you can expect

  • Start your day with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Shantou or Chaozhou. Head to the old town of Shantou and enjoy one included local food experience: either guozhi, as featured in Breakfast in China, or Dahao fish balls later in the day. The other meal and any additional food or personal expenses are at your own expense.

    Next, take a guided city walk through the Shantou Xiaogongyuan opening port area. Continue to the Haojiang District, where you may choose the included Dahao fish ball experience if you did not select guozhi earlier.

    After that, visit Dahao Ancient City and Queshi Scenic Area. Then, board a ferry and cruise through the inner bay. Finally, head to Mayu Island and take a stroll through the fishing village as you watch the sunset.

    At the end of your tour, get dropped off back at your hotel in Shantou or Chaozhou.
    The guide speaks Chinese and uses a translator for other languages.
