Begin your day with a pickup from your hotel in Shanghai and a private transfer to Shanghai Hongqiao Station. Board a high-speed train to Jingdezhen North and meet your local guide at the station.

Switch to public transport and head to the Ancient Kiln Folk Customs Museum, known as the “Forbidden City in the North, Ancient Kiln in the South.” Explore China’s only 5A ceramic cultural scenic area and walk the intact Song–Qing ancient kiln line, including the Song Dragon Kiln, Yuan Steam Kiln, Ming Gourd Kiln, and Qing Town Kiln.

Watch live demonstrations of all 72 traditional porcelain-making steps by national inheritors and enjoy the Porcelain Music Performance at the water pavilion. Learn about UNESCO-listed intangible cultural heritage in practice.

After a local lunch at a nearby restaurant, choose one of the following optional attractions for your afternoon:

Option 1: Imperial Kiln Museum (Closed Mondays)
Tour the award-winning red brick “kiln-shaped” building, view rare Ming–Qing imperial porcelain and restored royal relics, study the strict standards of imperial porcelain production, and take photos at this architectural landmark.

Option 2: China National Ceramic Museum (Closed Mondays)
Visit China’s largest ceramic museum with over 50,000 treasures spanning 8,000 years. Admire Yuan blue and white, Ming official kiln, and Qing imperial masterpieces. Trace the evolution of ceramic art and technology and see the “China’s Top 10 Ceramic Treasures” exhibition.

Option 3: Taoxichuan Ceramic Cultural Park
Wander a renovated historic porcelain factory with industrial chic style. Visit artist studios, galleries, creative markets, and cafes. Shop for handcrafted ceramics and take photos at art installations. Experience Jingdezhen’s modern creative vibe.

Option 4: Sanbao International Ceramic Village
Stroll a valley village with streams, forests, and global artist workshops. Visit open studios and see artists at work. Take photos at the iconic blue and white porcelain zebra crossing. Enjoy the peaceful blend of art and nature.

After your afternoon activity, take public transport back to Jingdezhen North Station and board a high-speed train back to Shanghai Hongqiao.
