At around 12 pm, we will pick you up and drive to a nearby Chess and Cards Room to learn mahjong. The activity will last for about four hours. During the activity, our instructor will introduce the basic rules of mahjong and three core moves: "pong" (matching three identical tiles someone else discards), "kong" (drawing a fourth identical tile yourself), and "win" (completing a winning hand). Under his guidance, you will quickly get the hang of this game and realise that mahjong is more than a game-it's a part of Chinese's daily life. Then, we will transfer to another location to attend a cooking class, which will last for about three hours. Before attending this class, you need to choose which traditional Chinese food to make: wontons (dumplings served in soup), dumplings, or sticky rice dumplings. During the class, a local chef will patiently instruct you to make delicious food and introduce their rich cultural significance, helping you better understand Chinese culture. After the activity, we will drive you back to the original location.
