Roman Bridge of Córdoba (Pass by)

Arrival in Córdoba and short stop at the Roman Bridge, one of the historic accesses to the city. Built in Roman times and renovated in Islamic and modern times, it offers a first panoramic view of the Guadalquivir River, the Calahorra Tower and the silhouette of the Mosque-Cathedral. This point allows to contextualise the strategic importance of Córdoba from Roman times to the Middle Ages.

Entrance and guided tour of approximately one hour to one of the most important monuments in Europe. Its main historical stages are explained: Initial construction in the 8th century under the emir Abderramán I. Successive expansions during the Caliphate of Córdoba. The famous forest of columns with two-colored arches. The mihrab, decorated with Byzantine mosaics. The Christian cathedral built in the 16th century in the centre of the ancient Islamic temple. The Mosque-Cathedral exceptionally reflects the overlap of cultures that characterised the history of the city.

La Judería (Pass by)

Walking tour of the historic quarter surrounding the Mosque, ancient core of the medieval city. Main points of the ride: Jewish Quarter, with its narrow streets and whitewashed houses. Calleja de las Flores, one of the most emblematic corners of Cordoba. Medieval synagogue (14th century), one of the few preserved in Spain. Small squares and typical courtyards of Cordoba. During the walk, aspects of cultural coexistence between Muslims, Jews and Christians in the medieval city are discussed.

Historic Centre of Cordoba (Pass by)

Free time in the surroundings of the Mosque for: Have a coffee or refreshment in a historic square. Visit craft shops (leather Cordoba, filigree, ceramics). Walk through the shopping area of the historic centre. This time also allows you to enjoy the atmosphere of the city and its local cuisine.
