Morning: We begin your journey by heading north from Antalya. Your first major stop is the ancient city of Laodicea, a key site mentioned in Revelation. Here, you will see the remains of a vast Roman stadium and a monumental theatre. The city’s lukewarm state—criticised in the Bible—is said to be a result of its distant water supply, a fascinating piece of history brought to life by your guide. You'll explore the newly restored Church of Laodicea, a poignant testament to its early Christian community.

Afternoon: Your journey continues to Pamukkale, a UNESCO World Heritage site known as the "Cotton Castle." You will be mesmerised by its unique white travertines, formed by mineral-rich thermal waters. We will then explore the adjacent ancient city of Hierapolis, walking through its stunningly preserved Roman theatre and the vast Necropolis, a powerful reminder of ancient life.

You will be captivated by the monumental Temple of Artemis and the beautifully restored Roman Gymnasium, complete with its baths. We will also visit one of the most magnificent and well-preserved ancient synagogues outside of Israel, which speaks to the city’s complex history.

Evening: We'll drive to Thyatira (modern-day Akhisar), a city noted for its prosperous guilds. Here, we will visit the ancient Roman road and the remains of a basilica, and you will learn about the challenges faced by its early Christian community. Overnight: Akhisar.
Day 3: Thyatira to Smyrna via Pergamum

Afternoon: The tour continues to Smyrna (modern-day İzmir), the vibrant coastal city that today is a bustling modern metropolis. Day 4: Smyrna to Ephesus
