The exact date and builder of the Maghrich fort is unknown, and there is no early documentation of the fort, according to archaeological findings dating back to the 13th century. The fortress was built on the top of a mountain surrounded by water on three sides, with a unique perspective of surveillance, guarding the inevitable path of the ancient city of Russ to the central plains of Serbia at that time. All people and horses must pass by the river at the foot of the fortress. . The fortress is surrounded by eight towers and connected city walls.
