What you can expect

  • We'll start our sightseeing tour at the meeting point at Quilín Metro Station, on Line 4 of the Santiago Metro.
    From there, we'll drive to the site of the sightseeing tour, which is about 15 minutes away.
    We'll visit the Quebrada de Macul Nature Park and head into the mountains through the Quebrada de Macul.
    We'll try to reach the San Juan Waterfall, which is located at the bottom of the ravine.
    We'll make frequent stops to observe the flora, fauna and geology of the area. You'll get to know the nature of the precordillera of the Andes Mountains in central Chile.
    You'll be able to spot different species of birds and, if you're lucky, even some of the condors that sometimes soar over the gorge.
    I'll tell you about the various plant species found in the area, as well as their traditional uses.
    Once we reach our destination, we'll have a light snack and then start the return journey.
    Before finishing, we'll take a detour that will lead us into a forest of native trees, walking along the banks of the Estero de Macul.
    We'll head back by vehicle to the meeting point at Quilín Metro Station, on Line 4 of the Santiago Metro.
    This is an immersive experience in Chilean nature that will likely amaze you, both for the variety of things to see and learn about and for the place's proximity to Santiago.
