What you can expect

Be picked up at your hotel to start with a 4-hour tour through this exciting city. Your first stop will be at Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino, the place where the founding father Simón Bolivar died the 17th of December, 1830. This place is not only a remanent of the XVII century, but also has an enormous diversity of native trees, stunning gardens, and impressive artwork.

You will make a short stop at Eduardo Santos Football Stadium, where you will find a sculpture of the world-famous player Carlos “'El Pibe'” Valderrama before moving to the historical centre of Santa Marta. You will walk through streets full of history, architectural jewels, parks and colonial plazas, then enter Santa Marta's Cathedral, the first church built in South America. Finally, at the Gold Museum, you will be able to appreciate the richness of the Tayrona culture, their beliefs, myths, and crafts.

Before returning to your hotel, you will head to Taganga's Lookout where you will have an excellent view of Taganga and the Caribbean Sea.
