What you can expect

  • Begin with a drive to Sano City from Saitama, a real Samurai city. Visit Karasawayama Shrine, which used to be the castle of one of the greatest Samurai around the 10th century. See the ruins and keep an eye out for the cute cats that live there.

    Admire the beautiful landscape scenery of the Kanto Plain. Next, visit Sano Yakuyokedaishi, one of the great temples in the east side of Japan and related to the Tokugawa shogun.

    Here, eat local tasty ramen called Sano Ramen and try the local snack Imofurai. Next, visit some local stores to buy local products and some parks.

    Return back to the meeting point in Saitama Shintoshin or you can take the train back to Tokyo.
