Day 1: Dong Architecture & Cultural Feast
Begin your adventure with a morning departure from your Guilin hotel to Sanjiang Dong Village. Upon arrival, savour a traditional Dong lunch featuring sour fish and oil tea.
In the afternoon, explore the world's tallest wooden Drum Tower, offering panoramic views of the village. Experience the Dong Grand Choir dance at Duoye Square, admire intangible heritage brocade and silverware on Moon Street, and decipher Dong historical steles.
In the evening, check in at a 4-star resort. Later, witness the “Love Story” live show, revealing the Dong lifestyle through marriage customs.
Day 2: Wind-Rain Bridge Expedition
In the morning, discover Chengyang Eight Villages and study the mortise-tenon structure of Yongji Bridge, a World Heritage site. Try your hand at fabric weaving and rice-pounding in Dong homes.
At noon, enjoy an optional “Banquet of Hundred Families” with a rotating wine ritual. In the afternoon, continue your visit to Chengyang Eight Villages, watch the “Dong Festivals” cultural performance, and then return to Guilin city centre.
