Day 1: Sandakan – Turtle Island (L/D)
Your journey begins with a hotel pick-up and transfer to CQ Jetty, where a motorised boat ride (1-hour) will take you to Selingan Island, the first turtle hatchery in Malaysia. Upon arrival at 1100hrs, you'll check into your standard chalet-style accommodation, a basic yet comfortable fan-cooled room with twin beds and an en-suite bathroom (shower and toilet).

At 1230hrs, enjoy a buffet-style lunch at the island café, offering a variety of local and international dishes. After lunch, explore the island at your own pace—snorkel in crystal-clear waters teeming with juvenile marine life or relax on the sandy beach under the tropical sun.

In the evening, at 1800hrs, visit the Turtle Information Centre to learn about the life cycle and conservation efforts of sea turtles. At 1900hrs, enjoy an educational slide show that offers deeper insight into the turtle park’s conservation work. Dinner follows at 1930hrs, served buffet-style with a selection of freshly prepared local dishes.

The highlight of the trip begins at 2000hrs—wait at the cafeteria for the park ranger's signal before proceeding in small groups to the egg-laying site, where you’ll witness a mother turtle laying eggs, the transfer of eggs to the hatchery, and the release of hatchlings into the sea—a truly magical experience! Overnight stay at Selingan Island Standard Chalet.

Day 2: Turtle Island – Sandakan (B)
Wake up early at 0600hrs to enjoy a simple yet fulfilling breakfast at 0630hrs before departing the island by 0700hrs. Enjoy the peaceful boat ride back to the mainland, with an estimated 0800hrs arrival at CQ Jetty. From here, transfer to SDK Airport or your hotel in Sandakan.
