Explore the best of the Dominican Republic on this sightseeing tour that combines adventure, history and paradise beaches. This experience begins with a transfer to the Bay of Samaná, where we'll board a speedboat bound for Los Haitises National Park, a jewel of biodiversity that will amaze you with its breathtaking landscape of mountains, mangroves, and karst rock formations.
In Los Haitises, we'll sail through its lush mangroves, home to a variety of endemic birds such as pelicans and frigatebirds. You'll visit ancient caves, such as La Cueva de la Arena and La Cueva de la Linea, famous for their petroglyphs and Taíno pictographs, where you can admire the traces left by the island's ancient inhabitants. You'll learn about the historical and cultural significance of these caves, as well as the unique biodiversity of this protected park.
After exploring Los Haitises, we'll head to Cayo Levantado, also known as “Bacardi Island” for its iconic appearance. Here, you'll have free time to enjoy the crystal-clear waters and relax on its white-sand beaches surrounded by palm trees. You can swim, snorkel, or just relax in the sun, enjoying the natural beauty of this little tropical paradise.
In Cayo Levantado, a typical Dominican lunch will be served, with fresh fish options, grilled chicken, rice, salads, and tropical fruit. You'll also have the chance to taste the traditional Mamajuana, a local drink made from rum, wine and honey.
We'll end the day by returning to the Bay of Samaná, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the peninsula and recall the unforgettable moments of this adventure.
