You’ll be amazed by the Tour du Roy, a testament to the power of the local lords, before heading to the impressive underground church, carved right out of the rock.
We will then continue to the ramparts, which offer a spectacular panoramic view of the vineyards that have made Saint-Émilion world-famous. I will tell you about the town’s golden age during the Anglo-Gascon period, when its wine was exported as far as the English court.
Finally, we will end our walk with a gourmet stop, focusing on another local speciality: the famous Saint-Emilion macaron, whose recipe dates back to the 17th century.
