Step into the pages of a Bavarian storybook as you venture to the fairytale castles of Neuschwanstein and Linderhof Palace. Discover the magic of these royal estates, dreamed up by reclusive King Ludwig II, as you admire the architecture that inspired Disneyland's Sleeping Beauty Castle.

Hop on board a comfortable, air-conditioned bus in Munich and set off into the German countryside. Arrive at Linderhof Palace, a spectacular Rococo estate set amid manicured formal gardens and fountains. Inspired by Versailles, this gem-like castle features its own Hall of Mirrors. Hear about King Ludwig's visions of grandeur, and why this castle was the only one the "Swan King" ever saw completed.

Continue on to the town of Oberammergau, a jewel-box village perched in the Bavarian Alps. Stop to shop, stroll, and grab a bite to eat if you'd like before the drive to Neuschwanstein Castle. This incredible Romanesque Revival palace balances high atop a rugged hill, on the former ruins of 2 mediaeval castles. Spend a full 4 hours at the castle, where King Ludwig imagined himself living out his luxurious version of a Middle Ages lifestyle, before beginning the journey back to Munich.

The tour was great and overall the itinerary was not too rush. Coach is very comfortable as well with washroom attached and a mini bar for drinks. So no worries if there is any traffic jam. Guide Elisabeth is very knowledgable and gave us a very detailed guide theoughout the journey. The only bit of regret is, the toutat Neuschwanstein was too short, and that the journey up and down the Castle is very challenging in terms of fitness.

I didn’t get value for my money. The castle is picture perfect from a helicopter.. not many rooms are finished. You are not allowed to take photos. The rooms are very dark and you can’t appreciate the beautiful details. Because off the amount of people, the passing is rushed on top off it
