The experience begins at the emblematic Pepino Beach in Rio, where clients disembark from the transfer to start the flight process. The location features parking, food kiosks, bathrooms, changing rooms, water fountains, and Wi-Fi.
Upon arrival, the client will meet instructor Sandro Cardoso who coordinates 140 instructors to provide quality, professionalism, and safety. The client will be directed to the flight club headquarters where they will fill out the local club form to activate the tour insurance. After this step, the client will board a private vehicle that will take them to the magnificent Pedra Bonita ramp, located 520 metres above sea level.
At the ramp, the client can take photos of the view and watch paragliding takeoffs while being prepared by their instructor for their flight. Once properly equipped, a quick training will be conducted to simulate the takeoff moment. At the time of takeoff, the student and instructor will go to the ramp, where an inspector will perform a safety check and cameras will be turned on to record the entire flight.
The flight lasts, on average, 10 minutes, but can last up to half an hour. During the flight, you can see Pedra Bonita, Pedra da Gávea, Rocinha, Morro Dois Irmãos, Christ the Redeemer, and the beaches of São Conrado and Barra da Tijuca. As the beach approaches, the instructor will fly over the sea to capture a 360-degree video and incredible photos. The landing is smooth and either on the grass next to the club or on the beach sand. After the flight, all images will be transferred to the client's phone, and they will be free to enjoy the rest of their day in Rio de Janeiro.
