From Mörel, you can comfortably take the cable car up to the car-free Riederalp. You have two options to choose from: a large panoramic gondola to Riederalp Mitte or smaller 6-seater gondolas to Riederalp West.

To get to the viewpoint on the Moosfluh, you'll take a cable car from Riederalp Mitte. The modern combination cable car (6-seater chairlift and 8-seater gondola) takes you to the impressive Moosfluh at 2333 m above sea level. with a direct view of the Great Aletsch Glacier.

You can visit the Hohfluh by 4-seater chairlift (with weather protection hoods) in winter from Riederalp West (only in stable weather conditions). In summer, you can get there on foot. The two viewpoints, Moosfluh and Hohfluh, are about two km apart (as the crow flies). A high-altitude trail connects them and offers additional views along the way.

Moosfluh Viewpoint:

• Bar-Buvette offers snacks and drinks
• The Geology Bridge (about 500 m, 30 m difference in altitude) provides information about glacier retreat, mountain movement, and cable car technology at seven stations - also designed to be child-friendly.

Hohfluh Viewpoint:

• Clear view of the Great Aletsch Glacier, the Rhone Valley, and many Valais four-thousanders
• Observation deck with benches and info boards about the glacier region, from here you can see the impressive curves of the glacier
• Telescope for a detailed view of glaciers and mountains
• Starting point for scenic trails towards Moosfluh and Riederfurka, ideal in good weather

  The two valley stations of the Riederalpbahn are right next to each other in Mörel. The ride takes about 12 minutes each way.

Chairlift to Moosfluh:

• The ride takes about 7 minutes.

Chairlift to Hohfluh:

• Riederalp (West) 1865 m above sea level
• Hohfluh 2227 m above sea level
  The ride takes about 4 minutes. The facility is open during the high season from mid-July to mid-August

Hike with a view of the Aletsch Glacier:
There's a well-marked hiking trail between the two viewpoints. The panoramic winter hike from the Moosfluh via Hohfluh to the Riederfurka and back to the Riederalp is especially popular (about 5.7 km, 1:45 hours, mostly downhill).

Luggage transport:

• Two pieces of luggage per person are transported free of charge.
• For extra luggage, you can rent a luggage trolley (for a fee). All transport is valid for the journey from the valley to the plateau (Mörel-Riederalp) and use is only permitted on the railway area.

The Moosfluh viewpoint isn't accessible by wheelchair.
