What you can expect

The Old Town of Rethymno stretches out in the shadow of the Venetian fortress of Fortezza, full of alleys that hide treasures of architecture and tradition.

On this walking tour, we will explore the Great Gate, the Rimondi Fountain, the Venetian Loggia, the Neratze Mosque with its impressive minaret, and the areas with their ornate doorways. We will walk under the shade of beautiful buildings, ending up at the charming harbour with the Egyptian lighthouse, while admiring the fortress of Fortezza that towers above us.

As a certified tour guide who grew up in Rethymno, I offer an authentic experience full of knowledge and love for my city. The tour starts from the Four Martyrs Square, near the Great Gate, and ends at the ring road below the Fortezza, where, depending on the season, you can enjoy the beautiful sunset.
