Begin with a brief historical journey into Byzantine art and a presentation of raw materials (mineral earths). Sketch your icon on a prepared canvas panel and apply the first layers of traditional colours.

While the canvas dries, enjoy a short break to relax and immerse yourself in the historic atmosphere of the location. Then, dive deeper into the art, adding definition and character to your piece, with the guidance of your experienced iconographer host.

Rest your eyes and hands while tasting authentic Cretan meze paired with local wine or raki. Complete your masterpiece, receive your packaging, and say goodbye with a sense of connection and a unique handmade spiritual memory from Rethymno.
