What you can expect

  • Begin your tour at the Basilica del Voto Nacional. After an introduction, visit a traditional bakery to taste the famous “quesadilla,” a traditional dessert from Quito.

    Next, visit the Arte Contemporáneo Museum, housed in the ancient Military Hospital, a building full of history. Then, head to the Basilica church and its towers. Climb the stairs and enjoy the amazing view of Quito from the top. Take some pictures and listen to stories about ancient Quito.

    Walk to the Mercado Central to taste some seasonal fruits. Then, enjoy a traditional lunch. Learn about some indigenous traditions, such as “las limpias,” which is part of the local culture.
