The Uros Islands are located 8 km from the city of Puno. This excursion lets you visit one of the most important attractions in Puno Bay on Lake Titicaca: an ancient civilisation that lives among reeds, or totoras. This Aymara-speaking community still practices skills such as fishing, bird hunting, and egg gathering.
The men are skilled builders and helmsmen of totora reed rafts, and the women are skilled tapestry weavers.
