Lago Sandoval, located within the Tambopata National Reserve, offers an unparalleled experience due to its lush biodiversity. To reach it, walk along a wooden trail of approximately 3 km (1.8 miles). Along this path, be continually amazed by the rich fauna that inhabits the area.
At the end of the trail, there's a small dock where you board a rowing boat to explore Lago Sandoval. During this boat ride, spot various species such as black caimans, giant otters, herons, turtles, monkeys, macaws, wild ducks, and more.
Take some time to enjoy lunch before returning to the city. Arrive back in the city of Puerto Maldonado at 5:30 PM.
