Borgo Parrini

Founded by the Jesuit fathers in the seventeenth century, from which it takes its name (in Sicilian, parrini means 'fathers'/'priests'). The recent intervention of a local entrepreneur has transformed the small farming village, partly decadent, into a corner with eccentric dwellings vaguely inspired by the style of Antoni Gaudí. This intervention is arousing increasing tourist interest in recent years.

Aumale Palace", a 19th-century building commissioned by Don Vincenzo Grifeo, Prince of Partanna and Duke of Floridia and later purchased by Enrico d'Orléans (1822 - 1897) Duke of Aumale, son of Louis Philippe d'Orléans (1773 - 1850), King of France and Princess Maria Amalia of Bourbon-Two Sicilies (1782 - 1866). The building, now owned by the municipality, at the time of the duke was intended for the storage of wines produced on the Zucco estate.
