This experience is designed to let you get to know Santo Domingo at a leisurely pace, without the pressure of a mass sightseeing tour or the feeling that someone is rushing you to finish quickly.
I will pick you up directly from your accommodation within the city, and from there, we will begin a private, comfortable, and well-organized tour of some of the most interesting attractions in Santo Domingo. The idea is that you can enjoy each stop with time to look around, ask questions, take pictures, learn about the local context, and move around without pressure.
The main route combines nature, history, and views of the city. We will visit Los Tres Ojos Park, a cenote-like cave system with blue-toned lakes, tropical vegetation, rock formations, and small local fauna. It's one of those places that surprises you because it feels hidden within the capital.
We'll also visit the Columbus Lighthouse, a monument-museum built around the 500th anniversary of Columbus landing in the Americas. Its size, its cultural rooms, its historical objects and its atmosphere frozen in time show a curious part of the recent history of Santo Domingo.
Another recommended stop is the Santo Domingo Cable Car, a different way to see the city from above and better understand how local life moves outside the areas best known to visitors.
During the tour, I can also suggest good places and angles to take beautiful photos of your trip. If you like, I can help you take some photos with your phone while you enjoy the experience.
Although the sightseeing tour has a clear main route, there is also room to adjust the itinerary according to your interests and the time available. We can include a short walk, a museum, a vantage point, the Zona Colonial, or another recommended stop that makes more sense for your visit.
This sightseeing tour is personally guided by me, and I only take one booking at a time. That's why the experience feels more intimate, relaxed and easy to coordinate, with room for breaks, questions, photos and local recommendations along the way.
