Activity itinerary

Versailles
  • 9h
Since 1979, the Palace of Versailles has been listed as a World Heritage and is one of the greatest achievements in French 17th century art. Louis XIII's old hunting pavilion was transformed and extended by his son, Louis XIV, when he installed the Court and government there in 1682. A succession of kings continued to embellish the Palace up until the French Revolution. Today the Palace contains 2,300 rooms spread over 63,154 m2. This visit is on your own, Château and Gardens. You have the possibility to get the audio guided tour on the free mobile app. Expect 1 1/2 hours for the Palace and 2 hours for the Gardens. This gives you some extra time if you want to check up some special exhibition or the Palace treasures. It takes 2 hours to get there and 2 hours to get back to ship. You will have approximately 5 hours in Versailles.
