Moin moin!
Rhine: Duration from 2 hours – longer tours and even a visit to Rheinstein Castle are possible upon request.
We start at the boat jetty in Bingen-Kempten, right at the entrance to the Upper Middle Rhine Valley World Heritage Site – famous for having the highest concentration of castles in the world. If you like, we can also arrange a return shuttle service to our home port for a fee.
And the best part?
You get to drive the boat yourself – no driving licence required!
While you're at the helm, you'll be accompanied by an experienced instructor from Rheintastisch. They will ensure your safety on board and share fascinating information, anecdotes, and insider tips about the Rhine, the Lorelei, and our tradition-rich region.
The tour will take you through one of Europe's most stunning river landscapes – past vineyards, Assmannshausen, Bacharach, old customs forts, and, of course, the famous Lorelei (on the 3-hour tour). At the point where the Rhine dramatically winds through narrow cliffs, we will stop for a short break at the Lorelei Harbour. To keep you going, there will be soft drinks, Spundekäs cheese with pretzels, and a Rohesser chocolate bar.
Afterwards, you’ll return to your home port, where you can continue enjoying your holiday in high spirits and with plenty of new, Rhine-tastic impressions.
Optional highlight:
On the way back, you will dock below the romantic Rheinstein Castle. From there, you can hike up to the top in just a few minutes – and enjoy magnificent views along the way. Once at the top, a glass of local wine will be waiting for you, and you can explore the castle at your own pace. A written castle guide will accompany you through the historic walls – from the chapel to the observation deck.
Finally, a comfortable taxi ride will take you back to your hotel, leaving you with plenty of Rhine vibes and an experience you're guaranteed not to forget in a hurry.
