Begin your adventure with a visit to Nikia village. Head to the chapel of Profitis Ilias, the highest point of the village, and take in panoramic views of the village and the caldera.

Next, visit the Volcanological Museum, the only museum of its kind in Greece. Stroll through the exquisite pebbled narrow streets and squares, and admire the famous centre square of the village and the panoramic volcanic view.

Continue to the volcano area. After reaching the base of the caldera, take the path to the crater of Stefanos and descend into it. Admire the sulphur crystals formed around the fumaroles and the steam activity of the crater. During your walk on the surface of the crater, listen to the hum of the geothermal fluids as they rise to the surface.

Next, visit the Natural Sauna, a cave of hot vapour emissions, used since ancient times as a place of treatments for vapour inhalation and as a natural sauna.

Then we will return to the port, where you will have free time to explore Mandraki, the capital of Nisyros. You can visit the Monastery of Panagia Spiliani and the Archaeological Museum, or stroll through the village alleys to admire the traditional architecture and the beautiful mosaic-paved squares.
