Overview

Discover two of northern Portugal’s most important historic cities on a private full-day tour from Porto to Guimarães and Braga.

With a licensed driver-guide and premium private vehicle, begin in Guimarães, the symbolic birthplace of Portugal, where medieval streets, Oliveira Square, Saint James Square and Rua de Santa Maria reveal the atmosphere of a UNESCO-listed historic centre.

Shape the morning with one optional heritage visit: the Palace of the Dukes of Braganza or Guimarães Castle, then stop at the small Romanesque Church of São Miguel, traditionally associated with Portugal’s first king.

After flexible lunch time in Braga, continue through Arco da Porta Nova, Santa Bárbara Garden and one optional cathedral or monument experience.

Finish at Bom Jesus do Monte, one of Portugal’s most iconic sanctuaries, with its famous staircase and panoramic setting.
