Pick-up from your hotel very early in the morning (pick-up time is different depending on different seasons). Single trip driving to Jinshanling Great Wall takes around 2 hours. The driver will buy the main gate entrance ticket for you and tell you how to walk, where and what time to meet again. You're supposed to hike by yourself. First you need to get on the Great Wall to watch the sunrise. After sunrise, you'll walk forward and the total hiking is about 6km. If you're not in good physical condition, you can hike a little bit and return to the same gate. From April to November, you'll enter from middle gate and exit from east gate (one-way hiking); From December to March, you'll enter and exit from the same gate - middle gate. It's better to buy food & drink in the city in advance because things there on sale are very limited and our schedule is very early. Make sure to take your passport.
