What you can expect

  • Enter the Baroque-style bell tower of the Church of St. Nicholas and learn more about its various uses since its completion in 1755. Ascend the 215 steps of the brick spiral staircase and enter several rooms such as the former tower man's abode and office.
    Discover more about the demanding life of the tower sentries, the intricate sewer system of the tower, and the historic bell of St Nicholas which was installed in 1576. Find out about more contemporary uses of the tower, such as its use as an observation post by the secret police in the Communist era of the 1960s.
    Upon climbing the stairs to the top of the tower, be rewarded with fantastic views of the Lesser Town of Prague. Admire the sights of famous landmarks and surrounding architecture from an excellent vantage point.
