What you can expect

  • Discover Port Adelaide’s fascinating stories and relaxed pub vibe on this walking tour. Known by early settlers as Port Misery, you'll begin at the former ferry loading dock to understand how the region was first settled among torrid conditions.

A short walk takes you to one of the Port's oldest pubs, where you'll stop for a drink*, before sampling a taster from the Port's main bakery. Local businesses run by local people are key to understanding how this vital heritage place functions today. Then, see how beautiful architecture, intriguing tales and modern street art all give the Port its unique appeal.

This is an Adelaide walking tour removed from the bustle of the city – a unique Adelaide experience. We’ll make sure you’re fully prepared for your visit to the Port with a recommendations list sent via email (if required before the tour, please contact us).

*Participants under 18 will receive a non-alcoholic drink, while adults have a choice of an alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink. Choose from coffee or tea, a house wine or South Australian schooner of house beer.
