Know before you book

  • Driver must be 18 years old (minimum). There is no age restrictions on being a passenger.
  • Not advised for the old and very young, and people with back problems since the ride is rough and bumpy.
  • Pregnant women are not allowed to take part in this tour.
  • You must be able to swim on your own if you choose to jump in the swim cave.
  • Duration tour itself : 2.5 hours. 1.5 hours driving time. 1 hours divided in 3 stops: typical house, swim cave, Macao beach.
  • All buggies have an automatic transmission so there’s no need to shift.
  • Pick Up available for hotels located in the area of Cap Cana and close to the Airport paying 30usd extra per vehicle the day of the tour.

What you can expect

This is what you call an “Indiana Jones excursion”! An unforgettable, crazy half-day adventure where you will take on the trails of the Dominican countryside. Take a thrilling, “low to the ground” buggy adventure to see a stunning view of Macao beach and stop for a swim in the gorgeous blue waters. Stop at a typical Dominican house to learn how cocoa and coffee are made.

Why choose a VIP buggy: They are designed fot a smoother ride, they have upgraded suspensions, better seating and more legroom, making the journey less bumpy and more enjoyable! They also have stronger engine and better handling!

Speed down the path to an ancient cave, exploring and swimming in the cave’s natural pool. This is a fun, local, muddy adventure where you will have the chance to discover a bit of the real Dominican Republic.

You will be picked up by an open-air lorry “safari-style” and once arrived at the ranch will be greeted by the tour guides. After receiving brief safety instructions, the adventure starts. You will have a great time driving a Predactor VIP buggy through the mud and trying the local coffee and cocoa. You will get very dirty, totally covered in mud. You’ll swim in a really cool cenote and go to Macao beach, which is so beautiful. These two stops are definitely the best part of this excursion. The tour it’s around 4/5 hours of time including the hotel transfer. You get to see the real Dominican countryside. This tour is extremely enjoyable and a great learning experience and it’s guaranteed fun.

Wear clothes you don’t care about. Bring a bandanna to cover your face (or you can buy one at the ranch) and sunglasses to cover your eyes. Bring also some extra money for tips and souvenirs. At the end you will have also the chance to have a hot shower at the ranch before getting back to your hotel.

With this tour you’ll get to see a part of the country you wouldn’t normally see at your hotel and you will learn a lot about life in the island. A fun filled day for those searching for a ” down and dirty” ride to see the natural beauty of the Dominican Republic.
