Day 1: Phonsavan → Hmong Village → Trekking → Homestay
Begin your adventure with a pickup from your hotel in Phonsavan. Drive for about an hour to the starting point near a Hmong village. Meet local Hmong families and learn about their culture, traditions, and daily life. Explore the village and its surroundings.
Start your trek through mountains, forests, and rice fields. Enjoy stunning natural landscapes and learn about local farming and nature. Stop for a picnic lunch in nature, with local food prepared fresh.
Continue walking through the remote countryside, visiting small villages along the way. Interact with locals and immerse yourself in the rural lifestyle. Arrive at your homestay village in the late afternoon. Be welcomed by your host family and enjoy free time to relax or explore the village.
In the evening, help prepare dinner (optional) and enjoy a traditional Lao dinner with the family. Experience the local lifestyle and spend the night in a simple but authentic homestay.
Day 2: Homestay → Jars Site 52 → Return
Start your day with a simple local breakfast with the family. Then, trek to one of the most remote and least-visited jar sites, located in peaceful natural surroundings. Explore Jars Site 52, discover ancient stone jars, and learn about the history and mystery of the Plain of Jars. Enjoy the quiet, uncrowded atmosphere.
Have a picnic or local meal for lunch before walking back to the pickup point. Transfer back to Phonsavan, arriving in town in the late afternoon.
