You will begin the experience by meeting your experienced guide, who will give a brief safety briefing, prepare you for the hike, and organise the group. The guide brings ropes and safety gear, which are used to assist in the more technical sections of the Pedra da Gávea climb, ensuring more confidence and support throughout the hike.
During the trek, you will cross stretches of preserved tropical forest within the Tijuca National Park, with stops for rest, hydration, and photos. The guide accompanies the group the entire time, assisting with the climb, answering questions, explaining interesting facts about the mountain and the local nature, and providing important information about the trail. The guide also takes photos of the participants along the way and at the best viewpoints.
As the altitude increases, the trail becomes more challenging, but the scenery becomes more and more impressive, with natural viewpoints revealing views of the West Zone, beaches, and the Atlantic Ocean. On the final stretch, the guide uses ropes to assist with the climb, ensuring safety and technical support.
After overcoming this challenge, you reach the summit of Pedra da Gávea and are rewarded with one of the most impressive views in the world, with the whole of Rio de Janeiro at your feet.
After enjoying the summit and taking unforgettable photos, the descent is made with the same support from the guide until you safely return to the starting point.
