Leaving Ponta Delgada, the first stop will be at Vila Franca do Campo, which was the first capital of São Miguel, located in the south coast, where it´s possible to watch the islet of Vila Franca and its interior crater.

Arriving at Furnas‘ valley, near Furnas Lake, we will observe some volcanic phenomena, known as fumaroles and you will also be able to watch how it’s cooked the famous Cozido das Furnas (Furnas stew), a gastronomic speciality of the Azores.

The tour is followed by a visit to Terra Nostra garden (optional) before the lunch (optional), which will give you the possibility to experience a thermal bath.
