Sumo Show & Cultural Experience
Discover sumo through an interactive cultural experience led by former professional rikishi.
Watch powerful live bouts from a much closer distance than typical Grand Sumo spectator seating, where you can feel the speed, impact, and strength of each match up close. Learn about sumo rules, rituals, etiquette, history, and traditions in an entertaining format designed for international visitors.
After the show, step into the dohyō yourself. Learn shiko, sumo stance, and suri-ashi directly from former rikishi, then enjoy the chance to challenge a former wrestler in a friendly one-on-one Sumo Match Experience.
Rather than simply watching sumo, you can see it, learn it, and experience it for yourself — creating a memorable connection with one of Japan’s most iconic traditions.
For safety and hygiene, our venue uses a specially designed mat-based dohyō built to the same dimensions as a professional Grand Sumo ring. Women and children are also welcome to step into the ring, take photos, and practice basic movements before and after the show.
Families are welcome, with discounted tickets for children aged 7–12 and free admission for ages 6 and under. Young guests are given priority for the Sumo Match Experience.
Before the show, freely try on a traditional Japanese haori and take photos. Premium Kimono Dressing is also available as a paid add-on.
Optional Chanko Nabe and Wagyu Sukiyaki meal plans are available. Chanko Nabe is the traditional hot pot enjoyed by sumo wrestlers, inspired by the flavours of the stable where our former rikishi once trained.
Karaage, yakitori, takoyaki, and other dishes are also available to order, with gluten-free and vegetarian options.
