What you can expect

Deeply rooted in its history, the Brasserie du Four à Briques was founded out of a desire to combine heritage with modernity. Inspired by the brick kiln in Saint-Pryvé-Saint-Mesmin, we developed a project that bridges the gap between local history and contemporary creativity. Now located in Saran, at 13 Rue des Entrepreneurs (in the Vallées business park), our brewery remains a human-scale operation, driven by a passion for our product, a spirit of sharing, and a desire to offer high-quality, affordable craft beers that are deeply rooted in their local area.

The tour begins where it all comes to life: in the heart of our production area. You will learn about the raw materials that define our beers—malt, hops, yeast, and water—but more importantly, about how we select and process them. Here, each ingredient plays a specific role, and each choice affects the final taste. You will quickly realise that brewing is not just about production: it is about creating a balance.

We then take you behind the scenes of the brewing process. From malt crushing to mashing, boiling, and hopping, each step is explained to you in simple terms, using a practical approach. You'll see the process, smell the aromas as they develop, and experience a true sensory immersion. Brewing becomes alive, accessible, almost self-evident.

Then comes the fermentation stage, which is often overlooked but is essential. This is where the magic happens. Yeasts convert sugars into alcohol and aromas, giving each beer its own personality. We explain how we master this key step to ensure quality, consistency, and aromatic expression.

Behind each creation is a team whose members complement one another: Jules in brewery development, Marian in production, Odin in communications, and Léa, who recently joined us to strengthen the sales and communications teams. Each person brings their own vision and energy to bring to life a cohesive and authentic collective project.

Beyond production, we also pay close attention to our environmental impact. This includes a deposit-return system, in partnership with Consigne & Moi, to reduce waste and make our business more sustainable and responsible.

Naturally, the tour concludes with a tasting of our beers, brewed on-site. It's a convivial moment when you put words to the flavours and gain an understanding of what you're drinking. Each beer tells a storey: the storey of its style, its ingredients, and also of the way we create it.

This experience is not just a tour. It’s an immersion in a world, an encounter with expertise, and an invitation to discover beer in a different way.
