Amazing! 4.8/5 Expedia Guest Rating

Get a new perspective on the optimistic spirit of New York from the observatory at One World Trade Center. Located on the World Trade Center Campus, this shimmering skyscraper – the tallest in the Western Hemisphere – soars to 1,776 feet (540 metre) and is the new crown jewel of Lower Manhattan.

Your journey begins at the Welcome Center, which greets you in ten languages to celebrate the homelands of the site's international visitors. Continue through “Voices” and hear the heartfelt true stories of the men and women who built One World Trade Center in an inspiring walk-through video montage. Next, in “Foundations,” you encounter the Manhattan bedrock that supports the foundation of this incredible feat of engineering.

From there, step into the glass-enclosed Sky Pod to be whisked up 102 floors in less than 60 seconds. On your upward journey, floor-to-ceiling LED technology immerses you in a virtual time lapse that covers 500 years of New York's past. Arrive in the See Forever Theatre™, where you're welcomed to the observatory with a 2-minute video featuring time-lapse photos and aerial images.

Finally, step into the main observatory. On a clear day, the views stretch out for 50 breath-taking miles (80 km), and the 14-foot-wide (4-metre) Sky Portal in the floor displays real-time high-definition footage of the streets of Manhattan. Gaze out over the waterways and architectural landmarks of this inimitable metropolis, and put your finger on the history and culture of each of New York's districts at the City Pulse exhibit. There are also various dining options to enjoy on the 101st floor of the observatory, before returning to street level.
