In 1984, the best EVER organised Winter Olympic Games happened in Sarajevo.

Activity itinerary

Koševo (Pass by)

Sarajevo Olympic mountains tour starts with a visit to the Olympic stadium where opening ceremonies of the 1984 Winter Olympics took place. For this event, it was thoroughly renovated and expanded. It is home to football club FK Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team. The club proposed the new name Asim Ferhatovic – Hase in honour to its former footballer and club’s legend. It’s a multi-purpose stadium that was built in 1947 in the period after World War II. Former Youth Work Brigades from all parts of the country participated in the construction of the stadium. The stadium hosted major football teams like Manchester United, Real Madrid, Inter, etc.

Zetra Olympic Hall, Sarajevo

Olympic Hall Zetra was constructed for the 1984 Winter Olympics. Described as “ultramodern” it hosted the ice hockey games and speed skating events in the Olympics. In Olympic Hall Zetra, we will visit the Olympic Museum where you will find many original items from Sarajevo Winter Olympic Games.

Bjelasnica

First on our way is mountain Bjelasnica, the highest part of the Dinaric Mountains and best ski centre in Bosnia and Herzegovina today. Alpine skiing disciplines of the Olympic Games were held on this mountain. Here you can enjoy a cable car ride (optional) or hot tea in a beautiful mountain house.

Igman

After the Bjelasnica Olympic mountain tour in Sarajevo will continue to mountain Igman. On this mountain competition held in Nordic skiing, biathlon, and leaps. You can see jumping slopes still stands.

Trebević
