What you can expect

Step into history with our exclusive D-Day sidecar tour and experience Normandy as the soldiers never could: in comfort, in safety, and with the wind in your face. Your gentleman rider collects you in Bayeux and whisks you away along quiet country lanes, through hedgerows and villages that coaches cannot reach, so that even the journey itself becomes part of the storey.

Leaving the crowds behind, we follow back roads towards the coast, with panoramic views over fields, farms and the Channel. Along the way your guide weaves together maps, anecdotes and little-known details to give you a clear, human understanding of the events of 6 June 1944 – tailored to your own level of knowledge, whether you are a curious beginner or a long-time history enthusiast.

From there, we ride up to the Normandy American Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer, overlooking the sea. Among the rows of white crosses and Stars of David, your guide helps you read the landscape and the memorials, so that the statistics of war become individual stories.

On option, we can add a stop at a traditional cider farm such as the Ferme de la Sapinière, where you can taste artisanal ciders and calvados made from local apples – a gentle way to reconnect with the living, rural Normandy that has grown back around these once-devastated hills.

On the way back, we glide once more through Bayeux, catching glimpses of its half-ti
