What you can expect

Embark on an immersive 2-day excursion to uncover the rich history of the Normandy landings, also known as Operation Neptune, during World War II.

Day 1:
Sainte-Mère-Église – Start in the heart of the D-Day landings by exploring the historic town, including its museum dedicated to the airborne landings. Discover the courageous storey of paratroopers and visit La Fiere, a key battleground.

Sainte-Marie-du-Mont – Visit this quaint village where the 101st Airborne Division linked up with the 4th Infantry Division during their advance from Utah Beach.

Brécourt Manor – Step into history at the site where Easy Company of the 101st Airborne famously neutralized German artillery, as dramatised in the Band of Brothers mini-series.

Utah Beach – Explore the site where the 4th Infantry Division made their landing on June 6th, 1944. Understand the strategic importance of this beachhead.

La Cambe German War Cemetery – Pay your respects at the German War Cemetery, reflecting on the immense loss of life from both sides of the conflict.

Day 2:
Omaha Beach – Begin at this iconic beach, visiting WN 62 German bunkers and the surrounding areas of Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer and Vierville-sur-Mer, key sites during the intense battles of D-Day.

Normandy American Cemetery – Visit the Cemetery and Interpretive Centre to honour the fallen soldiers. The rows of white crosses and stars of David are a poignant reminder of the sacrifice made by thousands of Allied troops.

Pointe du Hoc – Explore this dramatic cliffside battlefield, where US Army Rangers scaled the heights under fire to take out German artillery positions.

Longues-sur-Mer – Discover the German bunkers and artillery remnants at this coastal fortification, which played a crucial role in the defence of the Atlantic Wall.

Arromanches and Mulberry Harbour – End your day by visiting Arromanches, where you'll explore the remains of the Mulberry Artificial Harbour, a logistical marvel built by the Allies to facilitate the invasion. Visit the museum to learn how these harbours were crucial for supplying the troops during the Normandy campaign.

This 2-day journey offers a profound insight into the Normandy invasion, connecting you to the bravery and history of the soldiers who fought on these shores.
