What you can expect

① Meeting point: Hanshin Nishinomiya Station.
Hanshin Nishinomiya Tourist Information Centre (just to the left as you exit through the Ebisu exit gate).
About 30 minutes from Osaka Station and about 1 hour from Kyoto Station.
②Transfer to Nishinomiya Shrine: about 10 minutes.
Enjoy the atmosphere of the streets of Nishinomiya. You can see the clock that remains in the city that recovered from the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake of 1995.
③Explore the grounds of the Nishinomiya Shrine: 30 minutes.
Feel the power of the main shrine of the deity Ebisu and receive its blessings. Find the animals inside the temple grounds. Can you find them all?
④ Place of origin of “Miyamizu” (en route): 15 minutes.
What's Miyamizu? Discover the secret behind delicious Japanese sake here. This water is a gift from the miracle of the Earth, which guides Nishinomiya sake to become the best in Japan.
⑤ Transfer: about 15 minutes.
⑥ Visit the brick building of the Nihon-Sakari brewery, sake tasting: 30 minutes.
Learn about the sake-making process. Next, enjoy a sake tasting. You'll be surprised by the wide variety of Japanese sake and the differences in their flavours.
⑦ Transfer: about 20 minutes.
⑧ Ōzeki Sekijuan: Sake tasting and shopping: 30 minutes.
Ooseki is a sake brewery with over 310 years of history. You'll appreciate the difference from Nihonsakari sake.
Sekijuan is Ōzeki's flagship store. Enjoy tastings and buy sweets here. The sake-flavored manju buns are highly recommended. They also sell a lot of traditional Japanese stuff. Of course, you can also buy sake drinks.
⑨Visit to Rokkakudo: 10 minutes.
The Rokkakudo is a traditional Western-style building that's still in use today. It's located inside Imazu Elementary School and is a must-see for anyone interested in architecture.
