What you can expect

  • What if we took a leap into the Nîmes of the Belle Époque?

For 1 hour and 30 minutes, we will set off to explore a city undergoing a full transformation. Nîmes is expanding, modernising, and new boulevards are appearing… but, amidst all this, its ancient monuments are still there.

And that's where things get interesting! During this period, the people of Nîmes gradually began to view their heritage in a different light. How could the city be modernised without erasing its history? What should be done with these old stones that, until now, were not always considered treasures?

As we stroll, we will discover this Nîmes, caught between modernity and conservation, through its streets, its monuments and the stories of those who have helped shape the city we know today.

A lively, accessible, humorous and deeply human tour, led by a guide who is passionate about sharing heritage.

And before we let you go, we'll also share some tips and recommendations to help you make the most of the rest of your stay in Nîmes.
