What you can expect

Begin your adventure at El Playazo Beach, the most accessible beach in Nerja. Paddle along the western coast of Nerja towards Torrox, passing by the Macaca Tower and Güilches Beach. Admire the rock shaped like a lion's head as you make your way to Calaceite Beach.

Arrive at Calaceite Beach and its lookout tower in front of the sunken ship of Torrox (El Delfín), a Republican ship that carried food to the people of Malaga and was sunk off the beaches of Torrox at the beginning of 1937.

Dive into the water to see the wreck of the sunken ship (El Delfín) off the coast of Calaceite in Torrox. The ship is now home to fish and other benthic species such as sea urchins, crabs, starfish, and anemones.

After diving around the sunken ship, visit the Tajo de la Virgen and Calaceite Castle (a miniature structure, not a real castle), both also visible from the N-340 road. Return along the coast from the beaches of Torrox to El Playazo Beach in Nerja.
