Day 1: Arrival in Kohima + Local Exploration
Arrival: Reach Kohima (via Dimapur Airport/Railway Station – 74 km drive).
Check-in: Hotel or homestay in Kohima.
Sightseeing:- Kohima War Cemetery – A serene memorial of WWII soldiers.
State Museum – Explore Naga tribal artefacts and traditions.
Kisama Heritage Village – Venue of the famous Hornbill Festival.
Local Market Walk – Enjoy local snacks and handicrafts.
Evening: Try authentic Naga cuisine at a local restaurant (Zutho, smoked pork, bamboo shoot dishes).
Day 2: Khonoma Village – Eco & Heritage Tour
Morning Drive: To Khonoma (20 km, ~1 hr from Kohima).
Known as India’s first Green Village.
Activities: Village Walk & Guided Tour: Learn about Angami tribal culture and conservation practices: Local Craft Viewing: Bamboo work, traditional weaving.
Optional Nature Trek: To nearby forests or paddy fields.
Lunch: With a local family or at a village eco-café.
Evening: Return to Kohima. Free time to relax or shop for souvenirs.
Day 3: Dzükou Valley Trek (Half Day) + Departure
Early Morning: Short trek to Dzükou Valley base point (Jakhama or Viswema).
Trek Duration: 1.5–2 hours (partial trek if short on time).
Highlights: Breathtaking valley views, seasonal flowers (especially in June–September).
Return: Back to Kohima by noon.
Afternoon: Drive back to Dimapur for onward journey.
