What you can expect

The Craggy Range Deluxe is a celebration of Hawke’s Bay’s most iconic landscapes and wine experiences. Your day begins at the world-renowned Craggy Range, where you'll take in the beauty of this architecturally stunning winery, nestled beneath Te Mata Peak. Discover their winemaking philosophy, enjoy a guided tasting of their exceptional wines with a tasty Platter, then take a behind-the-scenes look through the fermentation rooms and underground cellar.

From there, we ascend to the summit of Te Mata Peak, where panoramic views stretch across the Heretaunga Plains to the coastline—an unmissable highlight that captures the heart of Hawke’s Bay.

After soaking up the beauty of Craggy Range and Te Mata Peak, we’ll make our way to our second boutique winery, Te Mata Estate, for one more tasting experience, because in Hawke’s Bay, there’s always time for another great glass of wine.

Highlights:

  • At Craggy Range, guests will enjoy a hosted wine tasting at one of New Zealand’s most acclaimed wineries. Nestled beneath the dramatic Te Mata Peak, the estate offers a stunning backdrop. During our tasting we will learn about Craggy's winemaking philosophy while sampling a selection of their premium wines in a serene and architecturally impressive setting. We will also get a guided tour of the fermentation rooms and underground cellar.

  • Take in breathtaking panoramic views from the summit of Te Mata Peak, one of Hawke’s Bay’s most iconic natural landmarks. From this vantage point, you’ll see sweeping vistas over the Heretaunga Plains, the Tuki Tuki Valley, and all the way to the Pacific Ocean—an unforgettable highlight of the region.

  • Enjoy a guided tasting at Te Mata Estate. Te Mata Estate is one of New Zealand’s oldest family-owned wineries, established in 1896. Set beneath the iconic Te Mata Peak, the estate is renowned for its premium, estate-grown wines and historic cellar door, where guests can enjoy tastings surrounded by beautiful vineyard landscapes.
