Discover Nairobi’s wildlife on a guided safari in Nairobi National Park, with options to extend your experience through elephant conservation and Kenyan culture.
Your adventure begins with pickup from your hotel or agreed location in Nairobi, followed by an approximately 30-minute drive to the park, depending on traffic. Your pickup time will be confirmed according to your selected option.
On arrival, receive a briefing before beginning an approximately four-hour guided game drive. Explore open grasslands, acacia woodlands, and riverine areas in search of lions, rhinos, buffaloes, leopards, giraffes, zebras, and other wildlife.
Your guide will help you spot animals and share insights into their behaviour, habitats, and conservation. Enjoy stops for photography, with Nairobi’s city skyline providing a distinctive backdrop to the surrounding wilderness. Sightings vary, with every safari offering its own memorable moments.
If your selected option includes the Elephant Orphanage, continue to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust for a one-hour visit from 11:00am to 12:00 noon. Observe rescued young elephants in the care of their keepers, hear their rescue stories, and learn about their rehabilitation and eventual return to the wild.
If your selected option includes Bomas of Kenya, enjoy an introduction to Kenya’s cultural diversity through traditional homesteads, music, and dance performances. Learn about the customs represented and appreciate the artistry of the performers, subject to the day’s programme.
After your final activity, your driver will take you back to your hotel or original pickup location in Nairobi. Guests choosing the park-only option return after the game drive; combination options continue to their selected attractions.
