Visit the Giraffe Centre, the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, and the Kazuri Beads Factory on a full-day tour from Nairobi. Feed giraffes, watch baby elephants being fed, and see local women handcrafting beautiful beads and ceramic pottery.
After an early breakfast, be picked up from your hotel or the airport. Make your first stop at the Giraffe Centre, established to provide a shelter to the endangered Rothschild giraffes. Some are taken there if they are injured or as babies if their mothers have died.
Have a chance to feed the giraffes with your hands and touch them. Admire them as they roam in the semi-wild setting. Inside the Giraffe Centre, see some endangered animals like warthogs.
Be transferred to visit the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, an orphanage that offers shelter to endangered baby elephants and 1 rhino. Watch as the baby elephants are fed and washed and they play with the sand. Some of the baby elephants have adapted to feeding themselves, grasping the bottles with their trunks and feeding themselves.
Visit the Kazuri Beads Factory where you will admire the artistic work of the local women handcrafting beautiful beads and ceramic pottery.
Then later will visit the Kobe beads factory where you will see women and men making them from start to end as they sing local music for you. then we have time for lunch at a local restaurant before dropping off.
