What you can expect

Located in a relatively remote northeast region of the country, Seoraksan National Park is known as the backbone of Korea, offering astonishing landscapes brimming with mountains, cliffs, and waterfalls. The mountains feature several hiking courses and valleys, and are internationally renowned as a habitat for thousands of rare plant and animal species. UNESCO designated the region as a Biosphere Reserve in 1992.

Day 1: Your 2-day tour of Mt. Seorak begins with pick-up from your Seoul hotel. Sit back and relax during your comfortable coach trip to the foot of the mountain, where you take a cable car ride to Gwonkeumsansung Fortress. This stronghold is nestled high atop a cliff, allowing you to take in panoramic views of the park's lush, rocky terrain.

Head over to the nearby Sinheungsa Temple, formerly known as Hyangseongsa. It was built by Jajangyulsa, who travelled to famous mountains all over the nation during Queen Jindeok's 6th year of reign. The temple has been destroyed and rebuilt many times over the centuries. Finally, make a quick stop at the Daepohang Fish Market before enjoying dinner and proceeding to your hotel for the night.

Day 2: Your 2-day tour ends with a return journey to Seoul, where you're dropped off at your hotel.
