Welcome to an authentic Swiss Raclette experience in a cosy 100-year-old home above Montreux, with breathtaking views of Lake Geneva and the surrounding Alps.
You’ll meet your local host right at her house, where the experience begins.
The address is easy to reach:
Just 10–15 minutes from Montreux by car or train
A train station is nearby
Clear directions will be provided after booking
The experience lasts approximately 2 to 4 hours, depending on group size and atmosphere.
After a warm welcome, you'll step into a personal, intimate setting. If the weather is nice, you can enjoy the peaceful garden – and with a bit of luck, even catch a sunset over the lake and mountains.
In case of rain or cold weather, the entire experience takes place indoors in a warm, rustic dining space.
What you’ll experience:
Be warmly welcomed by your local host at her home
Enjoy the garden during summer months and take in the view
Learn the storey behind Raclette and how we Swiss enjoy it with friends and family
Get to know the traditional Raclette grill used in the Alps
Receive instructions on how to scrape the cheese using Raclette knives
Watch the host demonstrate – and then melt and scrape the cheese yourself
Pair your Raclette with classic Swiss side dishes:
Boiled potatoes
Pickles and onions
Fresh bread
Enjoy a tea or water – all included and regional
Taste 2–3 types of premium Swiss chocolate for dessert
The Raclette cheese used is vegetarian, lactose-free, and gluten-free – suitable for most dietary needs.
Please inform us in advance of any allergies or specific requirements.
While everyone takes their turn at the grill, guests are welcome to film each other – it often leads to fun, unforgettable moments and lots of laughter.
At the end, you'll receive your personal “Certified Racletteur” diploma – a lighthearted souvenir of your culinary adventure.
The group is intentionally small (maximum 10 guests), which ensures a relaxed, social and authentic experience.
Families with children are welcome – the setting is safe and friendly, even for little ones.
Please note: no separate food or drinks for children are provided, so feel free to bring anything your child may need.
The activity ends where it began – at the host’s home. You're welcome to stay a bit longer to chat, enjoy the view, and take photos.
Whether you're a foodie, a solo traveller, a couple, a family, or a group of friends – this is your chance to melt into Swiss culture. Literally.
