      Experience one of the most iconic sights in all of France—the tiny island of Mont Saint-Michel. See for yourself why this magnificent place has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, embark on a tour of the majestic abbey, and enjoy free time to explore the island on your own.

      From the heart of Paris, board a coach for a leisurely ride to the west of France, where magical Mont Saint-Michel lies less than a mile (1 km) off the coast. Halfway through your journey, stop for breakfast or to stretch your legs before continuing on to your destination.

      Upon arrival in the early afternoon, admire breathtaking views of the island's architecture as you make your way towards the hilltop abbey. Step inside these hallowed walls as your guide explains the storey of the archangel who's said to have ordered a bishop to build the church on the secluded island in the early 8th century.

      After your tour, enjoy plenty of free time to explore Mont Saint-Michel on your own. Stick around at the abbey for an in-depth look on an audio tour, walk between the island's other picturesque monuments, or grab lunch in a restaurant overlooking the water. In the late afternoon, meet back up with your guide for the return ride to Paris.
